The move-out clean, and what a walkthrough actually checks
An inspection is not looking at the same things you are. Where the money is actually won or lost when you hand a house back.
When you clean a house you are leaving, you clean it the way you have always cleaned it: the visible surfaces, the floors, the rooms you use. An inspection does close to the opposite. It goes straight to the places nobody cleans while they live somewhere, because those are the places that tell it whether the property was looked after.
Where they actually look
Inside the oven. Inside the fridge and freezer, including the seals. Inside every cabinet and drawer. The tracks of sliding doors and windows. The top of the extractor. Behind where the washer stood. The corners of closet floors. The grout in the shower.
Every one of those is invisible during normal life and unmissable in an empty house, which is exactly why they get checked.
Why an empty house is a different job
It is also the only time those places can be reached at all. A move-out clean covers everything a deep clean covers plus all of the insides: cabinets and drawers, fridge, freezer and oven, interior windows and glass doors, the garage, the patio and the laundry area, and baseboards hand-detailed throughout.
That is why it is a bigger job than a deep clean, and why it is worth doing after the movers rather than around them. Cleaning a room somebody is still carrying boxes through means cleaning it twice.
What we can and cannot promise
We clean to the standard an inspection expects and we will tell you exactly what we cleaned. What your landlord or your buyer decides is theirs to decide. Anybody who guarantees you a deposit back is guaranteeing something they do not control.
One practical note for Houston renters: get the carpets done by a carpet specialist before we come, not after. Shampooing is not something we take on, and a wet carpet undoes a clean floor.
